About the founder

The same discipline used to brief commanders now builds stacks for small businesses.

Patrick Bergy is the founder of ITKM Marketing Solutions. After nearly three decades in computers, networks, and cyber security — and a decade inside U.S. military knowledge management on highly classified networks — he applies predictive behavioral analytics to one problem: get a client’s content in front of the right eyes, affordably, without abusing the people who see it.

The transfer

Social signal is not a parlor trick. It is a knowledge problem.

In uniform and as a contractor, Patrick worked as a server-side subject-matter expert in predictive data analytics and behavior analytics. The job was not “post more.” It was to understand audiences, protect the networks that held that understanding, and put usable knowledge in front of decision-makers in time for it to matter.

That is the same work as ethical marketing, minus the theater. Most agencies start with creative. ITKM starts with who should see the message, why they would care, and what the client is allowed to know about them. The military taught the analytics. Civilian practice adds a hard rule the military never needed to sell: the consumer’s data is not inventory.

ITKM does not harvest what it cannot defend. Clients get reach. Audiences keep privacy. That split is the company.

The record

From a workbench to a fusion cell.

  • Nearly 30 years · machines, networks, security Computer repair first. Then network administration and cyber security. The habit that survived every later title: if the system is not sound, do not put a name on it.
  • Age 40 · Fort Benning First soldier in Fort Benning history to graduate basic training at 40. The late start is the point. The work that followed was earned, not inherited.
  • Clearance · TS/SCI Held Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance. Responsible for IT, knowledge management, and security on networks at the highest classification levels the job required. That is why ITKM treats client data as a protected system, not a mailing list.
  • South Korea · Tiger Team On the Tiger Team in South Korea he helped write organization and function manuals, taxonomies, and a governance plan, then deployed enterprise SharePoint and email for about 30,000 service members and contractors. That is the same craft as a small-business Microsoft 365 and SharePoint install — scaled down, owned by the client, not locked in a vendor silo.
  • Afghanistan · Kandahar Fusion Cell Information Management Officer for the Kandahar Fusion Cell. He kept the systems running so U.S. commanders could hold a common operational picture of the battlefield. Marketing’s version is smaller and quieter: one picture of the customer, the content, and the spend — current, shared, and not trapped in someone’s laptop.
  • Iraq and Afghanistan · three years of social applications Helped pioneer social-media psychological operations applications and predictive behavioral analytics across both theaters. The transferable piece is audience analysis and message discipline. The non-transferable piece is the mission. ITKM does not run influence the way a task force does. It runs targeting the way a responsible advertiser should: named platforms, paid media the client funds, and no covert collection.
  • After the wire · documentaries and war colleges That body of work has been taken up in two documentaries and in war-college settings. ITKM exists so the same rigor can sit with a Tampa Bay creator, a shop that needs inventory and phones, or a national political campaign — on the record, and inside the law.
The difference

What the military taught. What the agency refuses.

The military needed to know populations in order to operate. Most marketing firms copy the knowing and skip the duty of care. Patrick built ITKM to keep the analytics and drop the extractive habit.

We will put a client’s offer in front of people who actually want it. We will not build a dossier those people did not agree to. We will not lock the client inside a tool they cannot take with them. You own the site, the tenant, the ad accounts, and the numbers.

What that looks like now

A stack, not a brochure.

Knowledge first

Taxonomy, SharePoint, Teams, and file discipline before a media buy. If the house cannot find its own content, the public will not either.

Then the property

WordPress and commerce the client owns. Hosting and backups that stay sound enough to carry the ITKM name — which is why even Tier 1 has a monthly floor.

Then the spend

Google and Microsoft ads with tags that close the loop. Media the client funds. Management at 12 percent. No mystery inventory.

Always the privacy line

Predictive analytics aimed at placement and timing — not at assembling lives. Ethical reach for small businesses and for national campaigns alike.

Next

If the stack should be sound before it is loud, start there.
